Elizabeth Montgomery as the lead character in The Legend of Lizzie Borden
Pictured here is an intense version of the chipper Elizabeth Montgomery audiences became accustomed to on Bewitched. Here she is, starring in The Legend of Lizzie Borden, as the axe murdering heiress herself. The historical mystery movie was made for television and depicts the story. The woman who was accused of murdering her parents in Fall River Massachusetts back in 1892. The stylized retelling of these brutal unsolved murders premiered on ABC on February 10, 1975 and was nominated for a Golden Globe award for Best Motion Picture Made for Television in 1976.

The impossibly elegant Audrey Hepburn is here depicted in a rare behind-the-scenes shot on the set of the 1961 movie, Breakfast at Tiffany’s. In her later years, Hepburn would move away from the bright lights of Tinsel Town and focus on charity work. She relished her role of UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, travelling to some of the poorest nations on earth, publicizing the plight of poverty-stricken children in Africa, Asia and South America.
